Introduction to Christianity

Once you open your heart and allow Jesus into your life, and you have made the decision to dedicate time and energy into reading the Bible, you will begin to see changes take place, in your attitude, thoughts, and desires. There will be a feeling of peace along with not feeling the stress and anxiety of your daily battles, something we all deal with at different times in our lives.

Reading and understanding the Bible can become a struggle at times, but with prayer, desire, and devotion, it will in time become easier, you will grow in your understanding and devotion as time passes. You will soon discover that it will become a pleasure to spend quite time alone with God.

Studying the Bible is work, it requires devotion, and the desires to know, learn and love our God, With prayer this will become an enjoyable part of your day.

"If you are ever going to be happy, successful Christian it will be by regular feeding on the Word of God, and that takes work." (LaHaye p.9)

Now that you have made the decision to put time a side each day to read the Bible, may I recommend a book which will be tremendous help. "How to Study the Bible for Yourself" written by Tim LaHaye.

This book starts off with some helpful hints on how to get started. I have listed the suggestions below.

What to read in the Bible is as important as how to read, particularly for a Young Christian.
The Bible is not an ordinary book, it consist of 66 Books, 27 of those Books are located in the New Testament.
